  We stayed only one night as a last minute booking to join family for Christmas. The accomodation was spacious, clean and well-located. However, our feedback would be that it was unfinished and not up to expectations for the full high season price charged. When we offered feedback regarding lack of any toiletries provided and unfinished aspects to the landscaping and grounds, the response from the owner was that it was not actually opening for bookings until later in January 2019. Interesting that he accepted our booking without mentioning this or adjusting the price accordingly. Overall, good impression and it will soon enough be a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable beds and spacious facilities.

  I booked 2 nights at the Villa at Gypsy Willows for my daughter and her partner and baby on a cold August weekend for their wedding at Wollombi Church. Our family has ties to the area and my daughter and son-in-law wanted a country picnic wedding.The property was perfect in every way. The outlook was stunning - outside areas were sunny and protected, and the house was spacious and quiet, but cosy and friendly at the same time. Thank you for giving my daughter such a treat for this special occasion. The host was easy to contact and helpful in every way.

  WOW! We loved our time here. The house is spotless, really modern furnishings but with a homely, cosy feel. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen including generous breakfast supplies. The plunge pool was perfect on the hot days, and feeding the pet horses in the field was a highlight. We will definitely come back!

  We had the most gorgeous family Christmas at the Hunter at Gypsy Willows in 2018. The 3 bedroom house was really clean, very comfy beds, pillows/linen and it had everything we needed. I was really hot so the pool and air conditioning were a dream! All our requests were met without any problem and the communication was always quick and easy.
  It ticked off one of my bucket list dreams to have a gorgeous family Christmas lunch in the country/Hunter Valley and can't wait to go back. Thank you for everything and making it so special for all of us.

  I cannot fault Gypsy Willows; both it’s Main House and nearby Villa is ‘by far’ the BEST quality accommodation in the Hunter Region.
  
  It surpasses top range hotels in terms of luxury fittings, furniture, bedding, appliances, kitchenware and importantly the cleanest place we have stayed at, far and wide - and we have stayed in quite a few places. The 270 degree vista you wake to will soothe your soul with a cuppa and the stilled essences of nature. The pool is a heavenly touch in a paradise countryside. Gardens are well kept and so pretty. It’s also quiet and remote - there is nobody around (although the owners are not too far away if you do need them, just text, which is a comfort to know) and therefore you have that sense of wildlife, rugged nature in a 5 star luxury place which would be, in my view, impossible to match in this area and beyond. The main house is largest, with three bedrooms and the villa is enormous really, for two bedrooms and is more than big enough for two and maybe even one more. They both have wrap around balconies and that ‘magic of serenity’. There is a reason we keep returning. One cannot put a price on tranquility, views and luxury details.
